Children’s Ministry at South Orlando Baptist Church

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN

We offer Bible Study Sunday School classes for children in our NextGen building from 9:45am to 10:45am every Sunday, from birth to 5th grade.

Bring your children to church this Sunday. Let them meet other children and learn about Jesus. All Children’s classes meet in the NextGen building (Look on the far right of the map below).

Children grades K through 2nd grade are dismissed from the 11 a.m. Morning Worship Service in the Sanctuary during the congregational greeting time. The goal of this ministry is to positively reinforce the spiritual principles you teach your child at home, with a meaningful, relevant, and enjoyable church experience through practical Bible teaching, worship, and activity center play. Children’s church meets on the downstairs floor of the NextGen Building.

Wednesday Night Activities – (Runs during the school year)

6-7PM – Kingdom Kids – Children’s Discipleship Class. Meets in NextGen Building (Disciple’s Hall) Room 105

7-8PM – Kid’s Puppet Team – Children learn the ministry of puppetry and performance. Meets in the church Gymnasium of the Shepherd’s Hall Building.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Each summer SOBC offers an exciting week of Vacation Bible School/VBS. Children entering K through 8th grade are eligible to participate in this fun program. In addition, we have numerous volunteer opportunities for church members and attendees. VBS includes Bible and Missions activities and stories, exciting songs and music, fun crafts, silly games and tasty snacks…all with the goal of sharing Christ’s love with each child who walks through our doors. Registration typically begins in April of each year and VBS is usually the second week of June.

Other Annual Children’s Events

In addition to VBS, South Orlando Baptist Church hosts an annual Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, and a Live Nativity for children and their families. To stay tuned to all upcoming events and activities – please sign up for our newsletter below:
