Missions is central to who we are as a church. South Orlando Baptist Church is committed to sharing the gospel locally and globally through prayer, giving, and hands‑on service. We support missionaries, participate in outreach efforts, and seek opportunities to demonstrate Christ’s love by meeting physical and spiritual needs both in our community and around the world.
In the past 15 years, teams and members of South Orlando Baptist Church have traveled to Haiti, Guatemala, the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the US Virgin Islands, the Pearl of the Caribbean, Africa, Australia, England, and Brazil.

The Ruscio Family
Frankie Ruscio was raised at South Orlando Baptist Church and answered a call to ministry and missions while involved in our Children's Ministry. He and his family have served in various missions and aviation ministries, and they now serve with Finis Terre. The Common Burmese Jesus Film
South Orlando Baptist Church paid for the full production of the Jesus Film in the Common Burmese Language. The previous version of the Jesus Film in Burmese was based on Adoniram Judson's 1834 Burmese Translation of the Bible. Today, the Common Burmese Jesus Film translation is the premier version of the Jesus Film among the more than 41 million Burmese Speakers.
