Kevin Weisman
Associate Pastor, Minister of Youth & Education
A native of North Carolina, Kevin graduated from Wake Forest University in 2004 – and also married Brannon, his high school sweet-heart, later that same year. He lived in the Louisville, Kentucky area for the next five years, where he got a couple degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and spent a few years as youth pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Brandenburg, Kentucky. Kevin moved to Orlando and began serving as SOBC’s Associate Pastor of Youth and Education in June 2009. He and Brannon have 2 children: Luke (2008) and Emilia (2010).
At SOBC, Kevin spends a significant portion of time with the student ministry. He also works closely with Life University, Community Groups, Sunday School, Regency Christian Academy, and keeping the church’s technology as up to date as possible. With his extensive academic background, Kevin is especially interested in philosophy, Christian apologetics, and Old Testament studies.

My ideal vacation would be…

What kind of music do you like?
I like rock music – from Switchfoot and Aerosmith to The Beatles and Queen. I am also a huge fan of 90’s Christian ska music.
