10 Great Features of our New Website

A ton of work has gone into our new website that launched just a few weeks ago. A lot of thanks goes to Karla Elgin, Ivanna Libre, Mike Sumulong, and Dawn Kent for helping make this website more user-friendly to our church and to our visitors! Here are 10 great features of our new website that we would like everyone to know about:

1) A new and improved Sermon Page

Now you can get the audio, video, and notes of any sermon all in one place. You can even click on the audio and listen to the sermon within the website!

2) Look for any Sermon with our Sermon Topics Tool

Need a sermon on parenting or marriage? How about dealing with friends or finances? Find it quickly by looking at the sermon topics section on the right side of our sermons page! This feature will improve with time as we continue to add more sermons every month!

3) Our New Visual Agenda calendar

See all of the events for a month in a new, visually appealing style!

4) The Community, Connection, and Calling Organization of the Site

All of our church’s activities, small groups, and ministries have been streamlined under the new sections: community, connection, and calling.

5) More Interactive Contact Us and Directions pages

Site users can now fill out a contact form and get turn-by-turn directions to our church!

6) Our new Blog

Read new articles to help you in your walk with Christ! See extra supplements to the sermons! Learn more about our events! Find new tools to help you grow spiritually! All of this and more will be featured in our blog in the future!

7) An Improved Visual Menu

Our entire menu has been overhauled to help people find what they need quickly. Including many images and links – be sure to study every part of this menu to see everything our site has to offer!

8) A Section to Welcome Visitors

Orlando receives more than 60 million visitors every year! Now visitors have a great place to learn everything they need to know to make a visit to South Orlando Baptist Church a successful one!

9) Every Bible Passage is Hyperlinked and Provides a Readable Popup Box

Any Bible verse in the site will show the passage simply by hovering over it. If you click the “read more” link, you will be taken to the Crossway website where you can go deeper into the passage and listen to the passage being read! Created by professional artist Ed Mabe, this exciting new map will help all to find their way around our church campus!
